Forty something grumpy old git. After 16 years at Stoke City Council and 6 months at what passes for a council at Peterborough, I’m currently resting, as actors say.

I started this as I wanted to record what I believed had gone wrong within Stoke City Council’s benefits department in recent years, though I had to wait until I had found another job before I was free to do so. This quickly broadened into goings on in the wider world, travels and poetry.

I’d like to think what I write here are more than just rants. But if that’s what they turn out to be, I hope they are at least tolerably well written.

Comments are welcome as long as they’re not abusive. Such comments will be removed as anyone who resorts to the ad hominem has nothing worthwhile to say.
